The Mothers: 40 Stories of Love campaign was created to celebrate the real, raw, and beautiful journeys of motherhood—the kind shaped by hope, heartache, resilience, and love. Whether your path includes infertility, loss, adoption, or something entirely your own, your story matters. By sharing these moments, we honor the strength it takes to become a mother and the courage it takes to keep showing up with love.
Here’s a little piece of my story:
Becoming a mother changed everything for me. Our hearts felt full when our son was born seven years ago, but we always knew we wanted to give him a sibling. Then 2020 hit. Like so many others, we paused everything during the uncertainty of the pandemic and decided to wait.
After a year, we felt ready to grow our family again. But this time, things didn’t go as planned. Month after month, we were met with disappointment. After a year of trying, my OB recommended we start looking into some testing and take a few extra steps to make sure everything was okay. It was a challenging and emotional season. I decided to shift my focus, not away from the hope of another baby, but toward something I could pour my heart into: my business.
I had started my photography business in 2019, and in 2020, right in the heart of the pandemic, we opened our first studio. While the world felt like it was standing still, I was building something from the ground up. By 2021, I made the leap to leave my full-time job and focus completely on my business and family.
A couple of months after beginning testing with my OB, and to our joy and surprise, we conceived naturally. In August 2022, our daughter was born. Welcoming her into our family was beautiful, and navigating life as a mom of two, while managing weddings, sessions, and a growing business, was both exhausting and incredible.
We opened our second studio in 2024, and I’m so proud of how far we’ve come. Balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth every moment. I look at my children and the life we’ve built, and I feel nothing but gratitude and excitement for what’s still to come.
To any mom reading this: you’re doing better than you think. Whether you’re in a season of waiting, growing, healing, or simply surviving the day, your love and presence matter more than you know. This campaign is for you—and all the women who show up with full hearts, even when it’s hard.
Please read through stories and show these moms some love!
