Nestled in the heart of Chino Valley, Arizona, the Windmill House offers an intimate and enchanting setting for weddings. Surrounded by lush greenery in addition to a bridge over the water creates an intimate and rustic charm. Let’s explore Tatyana & Zachary’s college love to their wedding day at the Windmill House.
Tatyana and Zachary met during their freshman year of college at Northern Arizona University. As college kids do they are always looking for a way to have fun! Tatyana and her friends wanted to play a joke on a friend of a friend. They were going to shine a laser pointer into this friend’s room. So their journey started to find the window to the right room. Well, they guessed wrong, and little did Tatyana know she would be meeting the love of her life at this moment. The window chosen was that of Zach’s; he invited them to come up and hang out with him and his friends. After that night some time passed before the two groups of friends hung out again, but it was then their friendship took off. The more they hung out they fell for each other and their dating was made official that summer. And now their love story continues as they promise forever to each other. This whimsical, romantic wedding day was nothing short of spectacular.
The bride was stunning in a flowy Renaissance-style wedding dress adorned with a flower crown. The powder blue color for the wedding party complemented the maroon suit of the groom, bringing together the romantic ambiance. The decor also had blue and maroon with a touch of gold. The naked wedding cake had maroon and powder blue flowers as well. Everything came together to perfection.
Something different I hope more brides do is have a first look with the wedding party. Before Tatyana’s first look with Zachary, both sides of the wedding party saw her stunning beauty and gave her hugs and encouragement. Great way to pump up the day. From there Tatyana went into this gorgeous lush green space, with a lake, and had the most touching first look. The way Zachary turned around and looked at Tatyana, such love and endearment.
After the wedding ceremony watched by family and friends, it was time to continue the celebration. There was laughter conversation, and dancing. You could feel the love and fun in the room. The bride and groom then had their send-off with colorful wands, it reminded me of how they met over a laser pointer.
